What is youth group? Ask that of any of the teens who come to youth group and they will tell you the same thing, it’s a place where they come on Sunday night, hang out with their friends, eat twizzlers and have fun. All of that is very true. What they don’t tell you is that Youth Group is the place where they come together and talk about their feelings, concerns, and fears and to pray for one another. It’s learning how to put Jesus in the center of their lives, in all that they do. Phil 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
All meetings take place on Sunday nights, from 7pm-9pm in the youth room unless otherwise noted on the calendar. All our meetings, whether it’s pizza and game night or “topic” night, begin and end with a prayer. We also have many service and outreach opportunities throughout, such as making and distributing food to homeless, Living Stations of the Cross and Campout for Homelessness Awareness, as well as a lock-in, a retreat and a trip to Diamond Gymnastics. One Sunday a month come together for 10am Mass followed by waffles in the youth room.
